frozen mystery pause suspense time

I grip the steering wheel tightly, sweat beading on my forehead.  The road ahead is lit by the late sunset, glinting orangey pink. I glance at the speedometer quickly, noticing I'm going slightly over the speed limit, but I  don't really care. The car jolts as it hits a small bump, shaking all the junk in my car's trunk and making me jump. I glance in the rear view mirror, checking for the black Mustang that had been following me.All Rights Reserved
