Karkat Vantas was the best, awesomest, coolest kid in school. The ginger boy was hot, bad, and all the girls and little gay boys fell for him. The little gay boys consisted of John Egbert, Dave Strider, and some random kid who tried to wear jeggings one day to school. Well, he's not there anymore, because of the jegging incident. But Dirk doesn't matter. All that matters is that both John and Dave swooned over Karkat, and Karkat didn't know dip sh** about that.
Now you may think, WELL OF COURSE DAVE WOULD BE KARKATS WAIFU IN THE END BECAUSE THIS IS SUCH DaVEKAT YAOI. But, who knows? I think there's a bit more to the story than instant relationships.
