This is a book I wrote for fun while I was living in Germany. My whole reason for writing it is that I feel there aren't enough strong gay characters in mainstream tv, literature, etc. I mean, how many of us (gays) have wished there were amazing gay X-Men, or Avengers, or Justice League members? The point of my book is not that the characters are gay. The point is that this is a sci-fi, X-Menesque story that just happens to have gay characters in it, like it was a normal occurance, not a big deal. I would have felt so awesome if books like Harry Potter, and Twilight, had had a character for me to identify with. On that note: Enjoy!

I WROTE THIS 2 YEARS AGO AND MY WRITING STYLE HAS CHANGED A LOT SINCE THEN. THE ONLY REASON I HAVEN'T TAKEN THIS DOWN IS SENTIMENTALITY. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sophia Dawn is a nerd that is bullied on a daily basis until she starts hanging out with 4 other social outcasts. When her invention at the science fair gets sabotaged and explodes, all five of them, herself, Liz Thorn, Jake Light, Mike Sharp and Charlie King gain superpowers. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~- I am Greek, so if you notice any grammatical or vocabulary mistakes, please don't be rude about it! Just tell me in the comments and I will correct them. Also, this is the first story I publish and I know it is lame, but I do it for the experience. I know it is horrible and everything goes really fast and slow at the same time and there are plot-holes and so many other damn things that I can't count at the moment... Anyway. I hope you won't be too harsh, as I told you I am here for the experience and harsh comments are bound to exist. I can't prevent you from posting them, just please make them as little hurtful as possible, not only for me, but also for yourselves. I really hate blocking people. And if the rude comments are too much I will delete and never post again. Not threatening, just warning. Thank you for your time!!! Also, I am not trying to show JUST the action behind the masks, but also, mainly, the struggle when balancing a life like this. Apart from that, I want to make it kind of dramatic. ;)

Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258! However, these gifted humans were few in number. Soon, the normal humans grew jealous of their power. They shamelessly threw these "freaks" out of their homes. They were beaten, abused, and treated as slaves. Eventually, the gifted humans rebelled, and a great war began between them. This war would last for years and lead to countless lives lost. Realizing they could never coexist, the gifted humans decided to create a world where they could live freely. This world became known as Trabachi. Hundreds of years later, enter our main character. This story follows the young prodigy Grant Alan, a scholar turned telekinetic, surviving in a strange new world after the colossal science vessel, the Halfpace, passes into a future very foreign to him, populated by anthropomorphic creatures that have dominated humanity after a planet-wide war. To ultimately find out what happened to the last vestiges of humanity, Grant must use his wits, friendships and newfound power to navigate this new and dangerous world while an ancient, malevolent force slowly corrupts its new anthro leaders. This story does NOT promote self harm or violence and does NOT include illegal sex acts. Any included descriptions of the former (self harm or abuse) are for narrative purposes only and are not portrayed in a positive or promotional way. I wrote this because I was inspired by "A Man In A Beast's World" by @GhillieCamo. (12/27/2024 UPDATE; HIS STORY WAS REMOVED. I wrote this story with the intention of creating an intense science-fiction, story rich experience, with some horror, thriller and mystery elements. If that isn't what you're looking for, you're simply in the wrong place. Though, I really think I put a lot of effort into this, so it would mean a lot to me to give it a chance. I am a huge fan of science-fiction, and this story definitely reflects that. If you like any of these: books with deep lore, furries, conflict, some romance & awkwardness, horror, robots, star trek, survival, time travel, supernatural powers and aliens, you'll probably like this story. If you read the whole description, props to you. Anyways, I hope you like my story.
