Writing can be very difficult, but it does not have to be. Follow these simple things and see your writing improve!

10 Ways to Stay Organized and Make Progress as a Writer

1.Keep important information/documents in a specific spot where you will remember it
-like on your desk in a specific drawer that is clearly marked
-or in a file cabinet that is set aside specifically for a certain project

2.Keep at least two sources of your work available with access from any electronic device
-Hard copy that is kept in a safe place
-Electronically stored copy that you can access from an electronic device(computer, iphone, android, kindlefire, etc)

3.Keep track of your goal(s)
-via a wall calendar or daily planner so you can record or save a date/deadline
-Mark each goal off as they are achieved or no longer on the table for completing

4.Write and keep your rough drafts to look at later
-Write everyday; even if it is only a sentence or paragraph
-Write on your calendar when you write and for how long
-Keep track of what you write about so you can track your writing patterns

See part II for more details!
5.Always carry something to write with and on (a computer works)
-having a way to write things down will help brainstorm
-and it will help retain ideas
