People say that when you meet someone once, it's a coincidence. If twice, then it's fate.

A boy with blue eyes that remind you of summer waves and girl with green eyes that remind you of spring's bloom.
One is a painter, the other, a writer. A hockey player and a book lover.

One gives hope, the other is finding one.

Who would've thought that a fourteen year old girl who stole one bike would meet the victim of that theft again?

And just when the victim was beginning to lose hope looking for the thief, who would've thought she'd appear right in front of his doorstep after three years?

Will he find the hope he had lost once they will meet again? Or was it always there, hidden somewhere inside?

Phoenix Rising (re-writing) by Smile7674

"Once upon a time there was a dragon that only knew one love, a phoenix." She laughs at me again. "The phoenix was kind, full of compassion. She could see the corruption in the world knowing that eventually the dark would consume the light. The dragon was her natural opposite, ferocious and vengeful. She was his light, but the world needed her. A chief came to the phoenix worried his people would be killed by the evil in people's hearts. He begged the phoenix for help, but because of her innocents in being a phoenix she could not help in her current form without being corrupt herself. So, she did the unthinkable. She abandoned her only love to bond with the chief's unborn daughter. Giving the village a change to preserve goodness, for not just themselves but for the rest of eternity. But the phoenix would not be strong until the human that possesses it was. The phoenix was killed before reaching her full potential, but the phoenix was born again. A man that had fallen in love with the girl sought out the phoenix's lost love knowing he was the only one on the earth that could morn the innocence the world had lost. The beast grew fond of the man and struck a bargain that if the man would accept the dragon, the dragon would infuse himself with man giving him the power to save the phoenix. The man being human would eventually grow old and perish, so the man agreed that not just him but the bloodlines to follow would become vessels for the dragon to preserve itself eternally to save that which he loves. The bloodlines were separated through the ages leaving the phoenix helpless and the dragon bitter. Then one day, a green haired city kid that was yet to find his dragon found his phoenix in English class and stole her first kiss."

Book One of Five in the New Beginnings Series. **You do NOT have to read Inhale, Exhale, & Breathe to enjoy these stories** #1 in bxb tag: 09/21/2024 #4 in friendstolovers tag: 9/21/2024 CYRUS PIERCE: I'm content in my almost soundless world. I prefer to live through the romance stories I weave and post online. Hardly anyone reads my books, even if they're free, but I do have one fan, and he's supported me since I started writing two years ago. Except, my writing started to take a depressing dive when I realized that you simply couldn't prevent nor protect your heart from falling for someone. For him. For the one who had no interest in me. When I fell in love with him, I thought we had a chance. It was an accident. Turned out, I couldn't be more wrong. He doesn't want me, and I wasn't supposed to have him. It didn't matter if he showed up in the bookstore every day, talking to everyone else except me. Nor did it matter at all because he didn't know sign language. He couldn't learn. We couldn't communicate. But after I go on a date and it ends in putrid disaster, he makes his appearance known, and he's angry. Then he's doing things for me that confuse me. My stories are filling up with pages of content, dreams that I want to come true, and my mystery commenter encourages me to continue-to reach my happiness. To take what I want. But the activities planned start sparking familiarity-like I lived it before, or maybe dreamed it. Or maybe, just maybe, I'd written it before? My mind is spiraling, but I can't stop myself from getting closer and closer to him. I'm not supposed to have him, but my heart craves him. Sage Monroe, I'm in love with you, and I'm scared now because I have a feeling that you've been communicating with me in more ways than one.
Altered by LuellaOpal
30 parts Complete Mature
Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of. But in some ways, I'm glad you're not a part of it. I just wish it wasn't like this. *** TRIGGER WARNING*** SA, abuse, suicide, substance abuse, and mental illness. This is a complete story that is much like life; fast, full of surprises, and not always how we want it to be. This has been a project of mine for over three years. It was self-published on Amazon, but after some issues in publication, I decided to just upload it on here. I hope you fall in love with these characters like I have. The friends in this story are trying to make names for themselves, figure out who they are, who they can trust, how to love, and how to separate themselves from a restrictive community. As in any coming of age story, they will experience growing pains... but will they survive them before its too late? PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS.
For Every Missing Shade by Israel_Taylor
56 parts Complete
Israel Taylor knows the world is a mess. In fact, it's all he can think about. As an avid artist, he imagines life as a black-and-white landscape, waiting to be painted. He uses a metaphor of color to describe everything he wishes the world was, but he can't help but feel stuck in the ocean of apathy high school life has become for him. His first drop of paint comes in the form of a girl named Emma McKenzie. They fall in love as she shows him just how much color the world can hold. But, seeing color means seeing the full spectrum, and Israel soon learns that though there are colors more beautiful than grey, there are also colors that feel darker than black. For Every Missing Shade is a blunt, funny, and intense digression into how the human spirit can create something beautiful even as beauty seems absent. Told in diary format through Israel's thoughts, dream sequences, and short stories, For Every Missing Shade is a new reminder that the world is not beautiful in spite of broken people. The world is beautiful because of broken people. I initially wrote this as a short story for my creative writing class my senior year of high school. It was supposed to represent the two seemingly irreconcilable parts of my personality making peace with each other. Becoming something greater together. But, as I wrote this story, it grew and shifted into something bigger. It became a place for me to put everything I felt, realized, explored, and cried about during my high school and college life. I don't want to spoil too much of the plot. Just know it's about a boy and a girl. A boy who was obsessed with creating a world that could finally cater to the oddity he felt he was. A girl who taught him just how much he'd been missing in life by trying to control it. And a life that showed how much it could give and how much it could take.

So many things that I find just... cringy. It's one of the reasons I cannot complete the series. I really wish that one day I'll rewrite this entire thing to be more sensible. For now, I hope that you can enjoy what gave me so much joy as a teen. Thank you to everyone who has come back to leave such nice comments after so many years. I will return to writing one day.
