To be Whole Again Harley Price (This story will be told by both Harley Price and Adam Morris' POV) (Also go easy on me. This is my first story. I tend to always go back to this story and change things.) To be Whole Again If there was a sea of women and you were told to pick one out, the one that supposedly caught your eyes, it certainly wouldn't be me. I am what people would call or name FORGETTABLE. I tend to go unnoticed or seen, no matter the time, the day or even the place. No really, I could stand next to you and hold a serious, yet very memorable conversation and you would probably remember what was said and where it was said, but what you would forget was me, the person who said those words. I guess you can say that I have a face that can be looked upon only once and if you happen to look or see it a second time, you would forget it and then try your hardest to recall it again. Yup, that is truly me, Harley Kalani Price. A single unnoticeable, low-income 25-year-old Hawaiian African American woman on the verge of losing her apartment. Adam Morris There is one word floating around England that people use to describe me. No, it is not handsome, even though I have been told by many that I am extremely good looking. It is not smart, though I don't mean to brag, I did graduate at the top of my class while attending Stanford University. The word I am looking for is ARROGANT, you know as in "having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance abilities" that is according to Webster Dictionary. That's me, Adam Atticus Morris for you summed up in just one word and this is my story. Two people, from two different worlds. He was looking for a new secretary, she was looking for a well-paying job that would keep her off the streets. Both of them unaware of what their hearts were truly searching for, love, acceptance, happiness, and a little excitement.

A reflection. Do you like yours, love yours or hate yours? There's many people in this world who dislike theirs, not because of the physicality that they see in a mirror, but because they know what's lurking behind the eyes that stare. So much can be seen in yourself from your own pair of eyes, things that others don't seem to see. Do you know why that is? That's because no one knows you better than you know yourself. A pair of eyes could seem so kind, warm and innocent to the world, but only yourself could know the true darkness behind them. There's one person in this world who knows exactly what I'm talking about. He knows the infuriating, angering feeling of the painful suffering he experiences when his own eyes meet his reflection's. Deadly, severe, menacing: is what he sees. Everyone who looks into them simply see a bright pair of ocean eyes. Blue. That's all they see. But only himself knows he's drowning in the tidal waves of their deep ocean. And no one cares enough to notice, to help, or to save. Until her. She used to think fire was more murderous than ice. Little did she know, that would all change at first glance. She saw the eyes, she noticed their blue, she stared for a second too long, and now she knows that there's no going back. He'll claim her. ~If I take a step away from him, he takes a step closer to me. If I run, he'll find his way back.~ ~I'm trying my goddamned hardest to not act on the ache I'm feeling to place my lips on hers, just to have a little taste, because I don't want to appear as some sex-driven teenage boy who just wants to claim her body. Because I don't. I want to claim her heart.~ *Mature content: Strong language, aggressive behaviour, sexual content etc.* Note: Don't skip past the prologue. A bit of the dialogue or description in the first half of the book may seem slightly immature; I'll have to edit that when I get the chance. Started: 31/08/18 Completed: 02/04/19
