Dan's mum left with Dan's brother one night and never came back. His dad turned to alcohol to numb his pain and beating Dan when the alcohol didn't work. One night after a particularly bad beating, Dan decides to run away in hopes to get a job, make money, and live comfortably away from his dad. Things aren't as easy as Dan hopes, so he finds himself homeless, with only a kind stranger stopping by every day to give him something to eat.
