Brynna Reese has tried most her life to distance herself from her mother. She insists that she will never turn out like her, but as hard as she tries she still ends up making a lot of the same mistakes.

Her life is starting to fall apart; after her boyfriend leaves her stranded across the country with no money, everything starts to go wrong and she’s not sure anymore if she can keep up. She has plenty of people she can turn to, but with her independent nature and insistence on taking care of everyone else’s problems- she refuses to ask for help. Still she remains confident and composed. 

Her brothers and sister start “trying” to make things easier on her, but she feels as if her choices are being taken from her. Still vowing not to turn out like their mother, Brynna’s about to follow one of her worst examples.
