Synesthesia (n) - a neurological condition in which senses are intertwined, and the stimulus of one elicits feeling in another. Emma Brinson is an intensive synesthete who can taste, see, smell, hear, and feel color. Her intuitive perception of the world gives her the upper hand in interpreting others, but she's become so comfortable with decoding people with a single glance that she doesn't have the experience necessary to understand herself. Until she meets him, the boy who is a devoid of color itself, and her whole perspective changes.
