Her anxiety filled eyes flitted around the room. Twelve faces stared back, undaunted and determined. Her body trembled with perturbation, and she sighed shakily. A strained smile stretched across her lips as she sucked in a deep breath.
"Are you ready?" she cried, attempting with great difficulty to exude a valiance she did not feel.
A chorus of yeses and cheers resounded around the musty room. They filled her with abrupt gusto and determination. Her grin solidified, and her eyes lit up with excitement.
"Alright, then, let's do this!"

Watching Anna, she was actually down stairs sipping water quietly. I couldn't help but stare at her. Her usually midnight drink. "Thirsty." "Oh, uncle you startled me." She had backed away from me as I tried to touch her. I had been needing her touch more and more. "Why are you so afraid of me?" "What are you talking about?" She hesitated at first, I could feel she was withdrawn but that didn't stop me from taking what I wanted. Kissing her made me forget. I know I shouldn't but I wanted to forget what I had lost. Is it wrong of me to think like that? But this kiss felt so right. Why? She felt perfect beneath me. At that moment I wanted more, I wanted everything she would give me. I wanted her. "Your mistakes come in episodes, Alpha. Season one, season two, season three. You don't make mistakes. You make choices." He swallowed hard. "I don't need her. I need you." "Lies," she spat. "Every damn sentence you breathe is a lie. I can't even look at you without feeling sick." He flinched like her words physically hit him. "That female behind you?" she pointed, not bothering to glance. "Perfect for you. Go mark her. Breed her. Hell, fuck her for all I care." Her voice cracked - but she kept going, blade steady even when bleeding. "I don't need you. Not anymore." His knees crashed to the floor. The mighty Alpha. On the ground. For her. "Ara... I'm sorry.
