Our whole operation is based in the New Carolina. After World War II, Hitler invaded through The Easter side of Asia and took over half of the United States. Carolina, at the time, being our most needed assets conjoined the remaining states to create the New Carolina's. Or the Carolinians.
Throughout these few decades advances have been made in technology and human advancements. Sometimes resultantly creating abominations beyond belief. One day Dr. Haverfield had created an Evo, or an evolved human. People like them are the biggest threat in this world today. They have powers unlike any other, and have spread a across the world, being hunted not only by people but by the government themselves.

With this we have founded R.E.A.C.H. and we are prepared to fight. for Love, for life, for Freedom among the Evos.

His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
