In 2XXX, a virus escapes containment. Said virus corrupts youth (aged 13-18) for wanting A Peculiar bloodlust. This bloodlust doesn't turn teenagers into savages, no. It just gives a thirst to kill. Only very few can resist it. This story takes place fifty years after the governments of the world created the Darwin Initiative. An idea that allows for students to kill each other. But in the 50th year, the year this story is set, teachers can now kill students and vice versa. At the end of a year, the teams must elect their best player to fight in a battle Royale against other team representatives. The battle Royale lasts for up to five days. The survivors may graduate or pass to the next year, if they do not survive; the rest of the team will be held back. But some players, may go lone wolf. Follow Jason Walker, a young talented writer whom has advanced skill with any knife, and his comrades in their journey through the eight grade. This group's name is the Joking Corpses. The JC contain three of the best fighters in the nation. Mia Fall, an Apex Predator, Jason Walker, a Clawed Predator, And Kai Gracefield, a Wolf in sheep's clothing. The JC go through the year, encountering fewer allies than foes. Each of these foes seem to put the fear of death, into Jason and his team. Rules of the DI: 1. Students may or may not kill each other both on and off school grounds 2. Students may kill teachers and vice versa 3. Students and Teachers are only allowed weapons that the country allows 4. To escape, one must murder. With this one simple rule in place, everyone's lives are in danger. What will become of the Ultimates residing in the mansion? How many will die? How many will survive? Will they ever know the answers to these questions, or will the bloodshed keep on going?
