Over the centuries the Doctor has travelled throughout time and space with many companions, bonding and growing to love each one. However there comes a time when all good things must come to an end and the Doctor must continue on left with only memories and sorrow. Nothing had ever brought him as much sadness as the parting he had to endure with his greatest friend and foe during the Time War. But when his friend returns after years of conflict, seeking his company will he still see her as a monster? What would his rejection cost? The fate of the Earth once again is in the Doctor hands, the real question is... will he make the right choice.

This was fun to write, as I have been a fan of Doctor Who since I was nine years old during the Tom Baker era. I studied hard to try to capture each Doctor's personality as they speak and interact, although I do admit that having a cast of 28 causes several characters to get lost within the dialogue. I made this as canonically correct as possible, pulling each Doctor and his corresponding companion from episodes to make this possible, but if you catch me in an error... I claim AU! Ha ha. It is for all intents and purposes a Capaldi episode, within his first season, long before Face the Raven. This is a Doctor Who fanfic for superfans only, as the entire first section only describes each Doctor by his attire, so you have to guess which is which by their apparel and companions. If you aren't familiar with each and every Doctor, this story will get very confusing. That being said, I hope you enjoy!Complete
