The Edwards Family just moved to Marion, Alabama. They moved to Marion from Chicago, IL. Life in Marion is sort of stuck in old times. And when I mean stuck, I mean stuck in the Civil Rights movement. Time has been frozen in Marion. As the world develops and grows, Marion stays the same. It goes in a time loop from the 50’s-70’s and once 1979 ends, it goes back to 1950. They are stuck in the civil rights and all the technology, fashion, and racial prejudice that comes with being in the South.

The Diversity Story

18 parts Complete

In 1950s Alabama, Mary, an African American teen, desperately tries to help her friends leave an orphanage run by a cruel and racist couple: the Fletchers. One night, she meets Charlie, a white Yankee who happens to be from New York, located up North. Soon, the two orphans team up and plan their escape, while learning that despite their color, they're not so different. Will they be able to lead their friends out of the orphanage before the Fletchers' heinous plot or will it be too late to escape the past and see the future?
