The Edwards Family just moved to Marion, Alabama. They moved to Marion from Chicago, IL. Life in Marion is sort of stuck in old times. And when I mean stuck, I mean stuck in the Civil Rights movement. Time has been frozen in Marion. As the world develops and grows, Marion stays the same. It goes in a time loop from the 50’s-70’s and once 1979 ends, it goes back to 1950. They are stuck in the civil rights and all the technology, fashion, and racial prejudice that comes with being in the South.
