Issi also must leave for the safety of her cubs when her thought-to-be friends turn on her. And when a dangerous storm comes Shotik and Taloa struggle to keep their cubs alive in the forest, and try to keep them away from other territories. But Ursa, the Great Bear, sees something in the cubs: Imiq, Homa, Okla, and Fochosh.

The age of humans have passed, and the only survivors still lure around Arian, searching for a chance of life.
