Five long years after Bethany Howard mysteriously disappeared on The Queen's Gambit, she finds herself back in the States. Unlike Oliver, a sliver of the blonde hoped she could leave the horrendous life behind, but, when she gets struck by lightning and her best friend is sent into a nine month long coma, her wishes seem far from reality. Secrets from her past begin to leak as Barry watches her struggle with a lack of sleep and PTSD. How will the relationships she use to have change? Will she be able to move on?
