All Luna has ever known is the small country of Andar.
Surrounded by a cement gate known as the Border, anything outside of the country is left to the imagination. With its strict social latter and manipulative dictatorship, the country's government lets it's citizens live in circumstances far from fair. Luna's position in society is high above most since she's in line to be the next possible ruler, The Prime. The only issue is that the Prime is only permitted to be a man, and Luna's mother died before she could conceive another child.
Luna has made becoming the Prime her life goal, doing everything she can to gain her abusive Father's approval.
That is, until a hidden boy is discovered by Andarian soldiers.
All Silas has ever known is the pit of dirt beneath his house. Locked away simply because he exists; Silas knows nothing of the world. With close to no social skills and a mind that was left to wander without any influence, Silas is confused and enraged.
When this boy and his broken family are given a death sentence, something snaps inside of Luna. She makes up her mind to save these strangers if it's the last thing she does, even if it means caring for and teaching Silas; who is physically and mentally unstable. Together, they set out to discover what's past the wall that has confined them for all their lives.
