So this is a short piece that I wrote for one of my English exams a couple years ago. It had to be inspired by a piece of poetry and so I chose the poem 'Stopping by the woods on a snowy evening' by Robert Frost.
This short is told form the point of view of a little boy during WWII.

'I begged my mother to let me go out and play that day. If I only I knew what was round the bend...'

It is purely fictional and any resemblance to anything is purely accidental.
