Suddenly, she was transported to a deserted area. Ice everywhere, layers upon layers. Small icicles hanged from the ceiling, glistening as light reflected through the cave. Riley slowly descended down the steps of the main hall, rubble and rocks scattered along the walls of the curved staircase.
It was known to all humans, that magic exists. All types of magic, including powers that can create life out of nothing to making bugs into human dummies. You are given a random power at birth. Powers are rated and determines your future. If you are a one star, you are a commoner. Two stars get to fight in armies, and they are the protectors of the magic world. And three stars, you'll be elected to be on council, if you deny, you... won't be going back home. No one has ever seen a four star since the king died. He wasn't a king, but people gave him that title.

Occasionally drowning in irl-work, so chapters will be published semi-regularly, whenever I find some time to write. (Usually updated at least once per week.) Power Keepers
Riley wakes up with a pounding headache and a cold shiver he cannot seem to shake. Dazed, he stares up at the white tile ceiling listening to the beeping of a heart monitor. An unfamiliar ceiling... in an unfamiliar place. With no recollection of where he's been. This story is a MAJOR work in progress. I would love to hear suggestions and feedback. I know it is VERY slow moving. It's just a super rough of a lengthy story that's been in decades of production.

A happy childhood, a so-so adolescence. Then adulthood arrived, and everything went to hell. And by everything, I mean it. Grown-up life is truly a wonderful, dazzling adventure! A job that drains your soul, stripping away any will to live while fueling a more or less justified homicidal instinct; depression knocking at the door with a lovely bouquet of red roses and, last but not least, the remnants of a social life buried somewhere under my shoes. Not the ones I'm wearing now; those are slippers, big difference. I mean the pretty ones in the cabinet that I haven't touched in five years. Love can be destructive. It catches you, ensnares you, devours you, and if you're unlucky enough, it leaves you standing in nothing but your underwear before reducing you to ashes. I had made peace with my "and she lived single, forever unhappy but safe" fate. A house, one, four, eight, maybe twenty cats and a future as flat as a heart monitor that's given up the ghost. No joys, minimal suffering, because there's only so much a heart can take before it calls it quits. And honestly? Fuck it, I'd been through enough. ... But he changed everything. In the worst, most terrifying way possible. From this abyss, I may never climb back out.

The evil melodic voice asked. His creamy eyes had a hold me. I closed my eyes and tears escaped. "Step away from her." My only hope shouted out. The voice was all to familiar. I stare at the shadowy figure coming closer to me. A sliver light cuts through the evil, but beautiful man. I fall to my knees feeling worthless. I almost died. Darkness surrounds me slipping me into a vulnerable slumber. ---------- This is a semi-religious book. I do not mean to offend anyone in anyway with this book and story line. I don't know if I died or not, but the moment I regained my consciousness, I was already standing on a field full of grass and surrounded by trees. "W-what is that...?" A screen was floating in front of me. 「 Welcome, new adventurer! 」 "Adventur...rer?" But..... I'm so small! My body is the size of a 9 year old kid! And I don't even know what the hell happened to me. After I read some information on the screen, I was amazed that the world I was in was like a VRMMORPG. Magic exists and so does the level. "Huh?" When I look at my status, I'm not neither a mage that cast magic nor a swordsman that wields a sword, instead.... I'm a puppeteer! Will I survive in this new world despite knowing that I don't have a place to stay or food to eat? Note: This is more likely in Fantasy. Magic goes bruh broom brr. Also, there is some terms in this stories that is hard to understand like skills, ultimate skill, so read the prologue for that one.
