"Do you know if he suffered in there...?"
"The carbon dioxide from the smoke caused him to fall into a deeper sleep then he already was, before the fire reached him, he didn't suffer a bit," The officer spoke. "This was the last thing left in the apartment that wasn't totally destroyed." He said, handing me a case full of CDs.
"Thank you."

Saved By a Stranger
No one stopped to look. No one glanced in the alley I cried in. I was tired of this place, so tired of the endless days that stretched out before me. The emptiness in my heart was eating me alive, with no end in sight. My own darkness was swallowing me whole and leaving nothing alive. The tears froze on my bright red cheeks. I was tired of feeling so broken, but most of all I was tired of being so alone. I pulled out the cold heavy weapon from my coat and stared at it. "If someone would look this way," I thought, "If someone would just glance at me and see my pain. I won't do it." There was a man standing in front of me. After he removed the single bullet from my pistol, he handed it back to me, and left. I followed the man at a distance back to his apartment. He knew that I had followed him and waited at the door to let me in. For reasons I cannot explain I entered his tiny apartment. I fell asleep at the table playing with the bullet and woke up to my alarm the following morning. There was a pillow beneath my head, a blanket over my shoulders, and a note that read: "Dear Stranger..."Complete

she's been drawing the same shape on my stomach for the past hour. "What are you drawing?" I ask softly as I gently smoothing her hair back. She looks up at me with tired, blue eyes, and whispers, "Camelopardalis." Her voice is quiet, almost fragile, the way you get when you've crying for hours. I don't ask why she was upset last night, why she came to my house crying in the middle of the night. "Camelo-what?" I repeat, raising an eyebrow. She lifts her head from my chest, nodding slightly. "It's a constellation," she says softly, "also known as the giraffe." A faint smile touches her lips, and she laughs quietly. That laugh-soft and genuine. "Will you show me one day?" I ask, gazing into her sad but beautiful blue eyes. She settles back against me, her voice barely above a whisper. "Maybe," she shrugs. - - - πππππ πππ ππππππ-everyone calls him RJ-is the school's golden boy: star football player, Mr. #10, tall, athletic, blond, privileged. The Last Contract
Update biweekly: Saturday @1pm ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- John Blythe I was always taught that responsibility must not be taken lightly. I have worked for the past few days, without coming back home. My head is throbbing. My body is craving sleep. I arrive at my apartment and notice it's unlocked. I dismiss it and head to the bedroom. I loosen my tie as I open the door. My bed is occupied. But with two people, instead of one. "Bell?" "John! What are you doing here?" "Zac?" "It's not what you think John. I can explain." Tori pleased "Explain what, Really?! That you been sleeping with him, while I'm killing myself at work?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nicole Garza The day I fell in love was during the first winter on this same day. Except I didn't fall in love today, instead I am soaking wet at the nearest cafe waiting for a cab. "Nicole, I came as soon as I heard," my best friend arrives at the cafe still in formal clothes. "Did you know?" I ask calmly. "I- I" she stutters "Waited for me to be humiliated?" I grit my teeth. "No that's not it. I did know but-" " But never thought you should tell me?!" I raise my voice "Well, I am not the one that left!" She fights back "You knew why I left! How do you think I feel finding out the love of my life married someone else!" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMAGES: From Pinterest and Google
The Beginning Of The End
*beep* *beep* *beep* The fire alarm rang. Now, it was usual for it to sound early in the morning, as the Cherries pranked them every week with that. But it was unusual for it to sound at 4 in the morning. OJ got up from his bed to tell them off, but when he looked in the hallway... (Or, OJ's hotel burns down and people overthrow capitalism because of it.) (tw for hallucinations, something burning down, blood stuff, mind control, violence, and gaslighting)Complete
Decadent
My hand slaps against my mouth as I try to shut myself up. Don't make too much noise...or he'll hear you. A vehicle's door opens then slams shut. I don't hear footsteps...but as the minutes go by I begin to hear them; the footsteps get louder and louder and louder, matching the sound of my thundering heart. That's when I see his shadow cast over the ditch...over the place where I tried to hide. "Well," he says with a smile in his voice. "I wonder where he could've gone...the footprints stop here...so I wonder if he just...disappeared?" My body begins to tremble. I can feel it now. The pain. I can feel the pain already. He jumps down into the ditch...he stands directly in front of me, with his back facing me. My hand presses harder against my mouth as I try to suppress my whimper, but it's way too late now. But his body tenses up when he hears it. He laughs bitterly as he turns around slowly, and his eyes cut through my camouflage easily. "There you are."Complete
Finally Meant (Book 5 of Series)
I made my way through the dark apartment and found the couch. What was going on at this hour that wouldn't allow me to sleep? Whatever it was it was intense, and I wasn't able to ignore it. The rain could be heard smacking into the concrete and against my window. I step out into my patio to watch it, nothing seems of the ordinary, or nothing I could piece together. I felt...sad in a way. This wasn't my sadness, my heart ached for someone else, but who? Why? I rubbed my chest, puzzled by this mystery. I was somehow feeling someones misfortune. I prayed to God this person was alright. Final Book of the 'Meant To' Series.Complete
Altered
Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of. But in some ways, I'm glad you're not a part of it. I just wish it wasn't like this. *** TRIGGER WARNING*** SA, abuse, suicide, substance abuse, and mental illness.
