One dark night, Neji Hyuuga is found dead in his room, having clawed out his throat and smearing his blood everywhere. The police have ruled the death off as suicide, and the case is swept under the rug.
However, the elite and mysterious organization Akatsuki are convinced otherwise. Itachi Uchiha, the leader requests the help of his brother Sasuke and his friends Naruto and Sakura's help with the investigation. He is convinced that there is more to the case than it meets the eye, and he needs his own sets of eyes to monitor Konoha High School.
True to his suspicions, more people try to kill themselves. Why are they opting to try and use the same brutal method that Neji used to take his own life? Had someone come and killed Neji? Or is there something more behind it?
As the trio delve into the mystery, Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura find that nothing is as it seems....
