"Here's the deal," he began. "I know you don't feel the same way about me, and I know that it's very possible that you'll never return the feelings I have for you. That's why I've come up with a solution to satisfy us both." "I'm listening," I responded, admittedly a bit intrigued. "Today is December 14 which would be exactly twelve days before Christmas. Once upon a time, I was your typical good girl, doing my job like a total elf star, no complaints. Even with the little "gift" I was born with (aka my disability), I handled life pretty well.
