Somebody once told me... Life begins when you see the bigger picture. When you reach out to the branches, get scratched by those thorns, cry out in pain and finally tear the fruit. It is then that you understand your desires.

March 18.
Grade:- 10th.
The day we bid farewell.

March 18.
Grade:- First year of University.
The day we reunited.

The story of my friendship was nothing extraordinary. Me and my eight friends were simply, what they call, Semi-Social Nerds. Keeping themselves to themselves, in a world where people hardly remained unknown.

Wrapped in studying, clearing entrances, deciding a meaningful career... Everything seemed too much. So that night, when she called to remind each one of us a promise made to keep, without hesitation we packed our bags, strapped our bottles, tinned our food and stepped out of the suffocating, four-walled city.

I am Kabir Roy Kapoor and this is the Roller Coaster I explored.

'No, he didn't'. I was so shocked by the turn of events. Everything was going fine and then suddenly boom, everything turned upside down. I just couldn't believe this. What did he think of himself? 'Leave me alone.' I said firmly but his hold on me was so strong. I was struggling to get out of his bear hold but to no avail. 'Oh!! So, the poor lady thinks that I will leave her alone and just let her go free?' He had that evil laugh and boy, his breath stank. 'Man, you just signed your death warrant and I will do one favour on you.' No one messes with me. 'Ooooh, I am so scared that I almost peed my pants.' Again that idiotic laugh. I counted till 5 and then kicked right in his balls. I turned around and grabbed his hair from roots, jerked them so badly and then gave my hard elbow shot on his chin. Everything happened so fast for one moment he was standing and the other lying on floor wiggling. I charged at him with my cheetah speed, picked up a wooden rod and started hitting him wildly, 'You idiotic stinky breath was trying to steal my backpack. You are so dead.' 'Favour, favour, favour.' He was screaming in pain just after few seconds and was panting hard. I picked my paste from my bag and threw at him, 'Brush your teeth.' I was fuming. I turned around and saw him standing wide-eyed, 'Hi, I am Scarlett.' I smiled showing my 32 teeth. 'I am scared.' His look puzzled me. I tightened my ponytail, pulled my hoodie sleeves over my palms, and took a deep breath, ready to channel the energy the ice cream had given me. "Is it left or right?" I asked myself. "Definitely right. No way am I getting lost again." I shivered at the thought-I had a knack for misadventures, especially in the woods. Oof! I bumped into something solid. "Didn't see any walls on this trail. How did I just smack into a wall in a forest? Maybe it wanted a hug." "I love you too, darling," a voice chimed back. "Now get off before I pack you up and keep you forever." Wait, did the wall just talk? Had I stumbled into some fantasy realm? Perhaps I was in the enchanted Forest of Chatty Walls. With a shaky laugh, I pushed away and looked around. Sunlight filtered through the trees, casting a golden glow. For a moment, the absurdity melted away, and I felt the excitement of the same dream reoccurring. My thoughts drifted to him-the wedding where we met, his smile that turned my world upside down. Childhood friends, now navigating the uncertainties of adulthood. My heart raced at the thought of us finding our paths back together. I had a dream of writing romantic novels, but could I weave our story? The weight of our unspoken love pressed on me. As I walked deeper, I could almost hear the walls whispering secrets of love and destiny. This adventure felt like the perfect backdrop for our story-one of passion and the promise of a future together. Little did I know, I was about to discover the magic that could bring us back together, again and again.

30 parts Complete Mature
Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of. But in some ways, I'm glad you're not a part of it. I just wish it wasn't like this. *** TRIGGER WARNING*** SA, abuse, suicide, substance abuse, and mental illness. This is a complete story that is much like life; fast, full of surprises, and not always how we want it to be. This has been a project of mine for over three years. It was self-published on Amazon, but after some issues in publication, I decided to just upload it on here. I hope you fall in love with these characters like I have. The friends in this story are trying to make names for themselves, figure out who they are, who they can trust, how to love, and how to separate themselves from a restrictive community. As in any coming of age story, they will experience growing pains... but will they survive them before its too late? PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS.
