"No! Please! Leave me alone!" a young girl cowers in the corner in her backyard. A man approaches. The father. He lifts his arm, and a sickening slap sounds. The girl screams in pain. The mother is nowhere to be seen. No where to help her child. The girl's loyal and faithful dog, Aspen, is chained to a tree, barking crazily, straining to reach her master. "Don't you ever disobey me again!" The father shouts. The girl nods shakily, and tries to stand. The father shoves her down again. "Stay down!" The girl raises her tear-streaked face, one cheek red from the slap mark her father left. The girl isn't crying anymore. Suddenly, the wail of police sirens sound. The father freezes just as several police officers burst into the yard, guns raised. "Mister Sam Davis Jarvis! You are under arrest for child abuse!" The father's face goes cold and the mother rushes out, clutching her chest. She falls on her knees next to the young girl and hugs her close. She glares at her husband, her eyes bright with unshed tears. Aspen is whining, howling. One of the police officers unties the dog, and she hurtles towards her master, licking at her face, and whimpering. The police officers grab each of the father's arms and drag him off. One stays behind and comforts the hysterical woman and her quiet, abused child. "Are you both alright, ma'am?" The police officer asks. "We are now, thank you." The woman cries. He nods, gets up and tips his cap to the mother. Then he leaves, his dark blue coat fluttering out behind him. Tien, Ellie, Elizabeth, Elly, Makenna, Alex, Luke and Jeremy have been best friends for the longest time ever. All brought together by their backgrounds. When the 8 friends go missing one day everyone struggles to find them. The 8 Sins find their way to a strange place. As they are split, half of them loose their memories. The memories must be restored before they can be used against them. Unless they can solve this mystery, they may never be reunited again.

I entered the cave and saw a red crystal sealed in ice. "Woah." I whispered. The crystal glowed and the ice shattered. I jumped back and fell to the ground, watching as the ice broke completely. My eyes widened and I looked at my hands. "Did I do that?" I asked, but before I could answer, I heard a guard shout for backup as they had heard the ice shattering. I quickly jumped up and stashed the crystal in my pocket before leaving. I crept to the cave the following day, putting the crystal back into the remains of the ice pillar. As I walked away, the crystal fell, causing it to break into a million pieces. I jumped at the sudden noise and stumbled backwards, my eyes widening as a black smog formed around the crystal. "No, no, no, no! Frick." I desperately tried to grab the remains of the crystal, causing one to cut my hand. "Ow! Shit." I whispered, looking at my bleeding hand. "Tch, tch, tch, poor child." A demonic voice said. I looked up and saw that the black smog had two red eyes and a wide, sick smile that was dripping with venom. "I- who are you?" I asked, backing up. "The one who can help you out of here." It said, stretching out a hand. I looked it up and down and before I could answer, its hand plunged into my heart, causing me to scream out in pain.
