"This is not about the protagonist."

It's simple. Boy meets girl. Girl meets boy. They both fight until they fall in love. It's predictable and requires absolute no thought to try and comprehend this story. Marie is the main character of that story. But this is in the view of her best friend, Grey. She makes a bet with the new kid, Luke Hemmings, that their friends won't fall in love. Grey's just a side character, a protector, a plot device to move the story along. So she gets to see the wildly cliche love story of her best friend. But what if she gets a love story too, one with awkward jokes, weird stake outs, and lots of public announcements.

I walk nervously into the room, way out of my comfort zone in the presence of all these unfamiliar people. I look around, my deep brown eyes scanning the room, taking everything in. What was I thinking? I can't do this. I begin to turn around, intending to leave through the door I came in. I take one step before crashing into someone a girl who was too focused on the conversation she was having with her friend, that she wasn't looking where she was going, resulting in both of us ending up on the floor rubbing our foreheads in pain. "Shit I am so sorry" I whispered. Reaching out a hand to help pull her off the ground. She accepted my help, and I swear I felt some sort of spark when our fingers brushed. "Oh no, don't worry about it, it was totally my fault I wasn't looking where I was going" she replied, running her fingers through her hair before looking up at me with gorgeous brown eyes the colour of chocolate. "I'm Phoebe, by the way" "Calum" "Nice to meet you Calum! Are you trying out for the musical?" "Uh, yeah... I guess I am" ⭒⭒⭒ Book Rankings: #1 - 5sosfanfiction #2 - calumthomashood #2 - cth #3 - ashton #11 - calum #15 - michaelclifford #17 - 5sosfanfic #19 - calumhood #20 - michael #21 - 5sos #21 - luke #21 - awstenknight #27 - lukehemmings #27 - ashtonirwin #32 - 5secondsofsummer (+a few more) *I'll probably forget to update these but oh well*
