"Breathe." Dave whispered softly, rolling up the ace, Jake's skin slowly regaining a glow of life with every open-mouthed breath that lodged in his throat as he stifled more sobs, "Fuck, breathe," Jake nodded, as Dave's fingers padded up and and down Jake's back, skimming over the arch of his spine, his lower back, his ribs curling through. He stayed in this trance forever, passing delicate fingernails over his skin, breaking down his frantic breaths into nothing more than closed eyes and open souls.

"What if I'm not one?" I asked, my body wound tight with tension. "One what?" he asked, his voice soft and low. I hesitated. Was I ready? I wanted to tell him so badly. Karkat Vantas. A very unpopular, short, and short-tempered troll. He tries desperately to make it through his first year in a human school, but with everyone still not fully accepting trolls added on with his so-called 'stupid' blood color, he can't find a single person who understands him, yet. Dave Strider. Maybe one of the most popular guys in the school. Nobody knows why he's always wearing those cool ironic shades of his, and most people want to find out. But Dave himself wants his eyes to stay hidden, and nobody else has ever seen them. He thinks that if anyone did, they would make fun of him and his good reputation would immediately disappear. The two, basically opposites, find that they actually might get along and relate to each other. But who knows what a simple sentence could do? It's the secret he keeps against his family. Being attracted to the same sex is seen as a passing moment or a hankering in one's life. Finn knows that sex in his world is never followed by anything as absurd as love. So he carries on, still he craves and late at night, his desires take over him and he imagines what his life would feel like if he dropped all the pretenses.
