In the year 2022, where virtual reality and full-dive technology has evolved and progressed in leaps and bounds, 'Sword Art Online' is launched, bringing 10,000 players into an elaborate game of survival to which they cannot log-out from; where if your HP is reduced to zero you die not only in-game - but in real life as well.

If the players reach and defeat the boss on the 100th floor the game will be cleared, logging out all players automatically and waking them up from their virtual reality; the cardinal system deleting itself into nothingness and in turn destroying the steel castle in the sky.

Noa is one of these players.
