Ms. Pinocchio

Andra Allid was made not born. Made by an alliance of sentient machines, she was the perfect match for the lonely computer programmer responsible for the machines' sentience. They now wish Jerold Smart to continue his work so they may remain anonymous. She has other ideas. "I am made of bits and pieces of leftover genes. I am mishmash. I want to be a real human. And I want to make up my own mind instead of being told what to do all the time."
She is however afraid of the Alliance so, she follows instructions and looks for Jerold. She finds him and the courage to be her own brand of human.
