Rey never thought of becoming someone in her life, either than a simple scavenger. But when she decides to accept the company of a BB unit, her life takes a very interesting turn as she gets caught up in the battle of the Resistance with the powerful, dark First Order. She then discoveres that her future isn't what she thought it would be, as the galaxy's fate is depending on her decisions and her power. The chapters get better as the story progresses. Please bare with my horrid writing in the first three chapters. I'll edit them after I finish the story. I do not own any of the characters or the plot, this is just a fanfic.

Star Wars: Duel of the Fates, de smithse

This is my version of the third chapter of the new Star Wars trilogy. I will not change anything that happened in either Force Awakens or Last Jedi. I will uphold the restrictions that resulted from the sad death of Carrie Fisher and will only draw from the deleted scenes or audio from pre-existing Star Wars movies and properties. Whilst I appreciated what Last Jedi was trying to do, I did not actually like it. However, I have no intention of undoing any of the main plot points or revelations that were in it. E.g. Rey will certainly not be a Palpatine. The story will not contain any Reylo. I know, I know: I love it too, but it was really weird seeing it as canon in the Rise of Skywalker. Do not expect it here. I am a big Star Wars fan and will be adding things from as wide a field as possible. All planets will be based on actual places mentioned or visited in the various movies and tv shows. Immediately following the events of The Last Jedi, the battle for the galaxy continues between the First Order and the last of the Resistance. As the new Supreme Leader takes the throne, the First Order is focused on finding and destroying all who oppose them. The Resistance had disappeared into hiding and desperation has forced them to explore the gray areas of war. Meanwhile, on opposite sides of the war, Rey and Kylo Ren are forced to face the realities of their bond, their complicated relationship, their loyalty to their causes, and their understanding of the Force. This story continues the arcs and themes beautifully woven through The Last Jedi, as well as the narrative from the previous two trilogies. All plot elements are intended to be canon-compliant through TLJ. This is 100% complete. It was completed in December 2019 on A03 before The Rise of Skywalker was released, so this is not a "fix-it" fic as much as an alternative to Episode IX. This is a dark story. *this is a complete AU that takes place in the Star Wars universe* Finn is a Jedi trained under Grandmaster Luke Skywalker after deflecting the First Order and discovering his abilities. One day, Rey spies on the Resistance in order to kill the new Jedi. Only, she doesn't know that it's Finn. She ends up joining him on a mission to recover a device that will lead them to a secret weapon of the First Order, one that she had never heard of. Along the way, Rey and Finn form a strong bond with one another as they try to retrieve the device. But Rey knows that her destiny is to rule the galaxy while Finn's is to help restore the Jedi Order. Will Rey turn to the Light? Will Finn turn to the Dark? Or will they join together to defeat the tyranny in the galaxy?

My earliest memory is pain. Pain of losing a mother, pain of losing the love of a father, pain from the isolation that happened after the incident. My life was beginning to look brighter, until the day I was kidnapped by the First Order. This is where my story neither begins nor ends.
