Silence; it can be good, but it can also be bad. And for Summer Fields, it's the most unwelcome part of her life.
Summer Fields has moved around all her life and has finally found a home in the city of Maryville Ohio, population, 13,465.Finally, the time has come for her senior year, and everything changes. New life, new school, new friends, new everything. One thing she has never been very good at.
The first day of school, she meets Matthew. As strange he is, she feels drawn to him, and doesn't know why. Then the silence begins.

A New Love
Ever since Shelby moved away from her hometown she has missed everything about it; the feel, the people, her (pretty much but not really) sister, Celeste and her boyfriend, oops, EX-boyfriend, Laine. Just before she moved away they broke up, they made up at the airport as she left but they never got over each other. Shelby has now been in her new town, Sherwood Park, for three years (Shelby is 14). She has had some bad times, and some even more good times, like meeting all her new friends. Since being there for three years, Shelby starts to develop feelings for someone else. When Laine makes an unexpected visited he realizes that Shelby moved on. An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. "The moon's really beautiful, if you think about it," I blurted. "Yeah?" he asked, mild amusement and curiosity mingling in his voice. "Yeah," I confirmed. "It's just- there's something about the moon that's ethereal. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's a constant in life.
