All magic wielders start off learning basic magic control. These beginner mage are known as Magician. When they know how to use two or more elements they become wizards. When they learn four elements they become sorcerers. Eric is a young magician looking for a new teacher to progress his magic but due to complications he can never find one.

One day, a pod fell out of the sky and landed in the middle of the forest and was found by an old man. He opened the pod only to find a special baby inside of it.

The Kingdom of Fiore is filled with magic. Guilds of users of such magic, wizards, have formed to make a living out of it. But there are ten swords said to possess the most pure forms of magic, the Seiken, each wielded by a Swordsman.
Rise Of Tartas (A Fairy Tail FF)
Fairy Tail's rise to become the strongest guild in Fiore once again has succeeded after the Grand Magic Games. Now all they have to do is keep it there-easier said than done. A continent off of the coast of Fiore, Tartas, known as the "House of Death", is in fact the largest and most dangerous prison for wizards. Deep within the walls of the prison lies the birth of several new wizards, who house lethal, ancient and banned magic. The Magic Council has arranged for them to be executed, but someone has persuaded them otherwise. Because of this, the rise of a new guild is at hand, a guild for second chances, which have their eyes on becoming the strongest guild. When the wizards from Tartas are accused of using their magic to kill, the Grand Magic Games are used as a testing ground for this new guild to see whether or not they are guilty.
