Misha Kaivorn, a clever orphan who survives as a palace guard's stepdaughter, is being blamed for a crime she did not commit. An overnight tragedy occurs, leaving Misha's life a living hell. She is being persecuted because of who they all say she is, although Misha knows she is perfectly normal despite the claims pointing against her.
Alone and afraid in a vast kingdom she does not belong in, with the monsters in her nightmares catching up, she begins to embrace the malicious whispers inside her mind.
When new, horrifying information surges to life from her dark, mysterious past which she knows nothing about, Misha turns to the only people she knows who has the power to save her; the legendary, hunted, held-in-awe, heavily talented and dangerous, the Ashes.

(Y/N) was never kind-at least, not in her own eyes. At 19, she lived a normal life, except for the voice inside her head that is, and never saw herself as particularly good or heroic. She wasn't a hero after all. But her actions often contradicted that belief, speaking louder than her own self-perception. She was fiercely protective of her friends, though she struggled to understand why. Could she feel emotions? Yes. But understanding them? That was a different story. Then, she was shot. Instead of dying, she woke up as her 10-year-old self-reborn into the world of her favorite childhood manga, Demon Slayer, years before the story began. Why was she here? Who brought her there? The answers were as unclear as the muffled, underwater-like voice that had guided her since she was a child. The voice inside her head. With no clear purpose and no desire to change fate, she decided to live for herself like she always did. If she was stuck in this world, she might as well have fun! It was the purpose of her life after all, to have fun. And where else was more exciting than with the main characters? Everything revolved around them right? So she became a traveler, to find him, wandering from place to place, meeting all sorts of people-many of whom she recognized as future hashiras or part of the main cast. Along the way, she unintentionally formed bonds, won over many hearts, and built a new life for herself, never thinking too hard about the future. Everything was great! But, as time went by, she slowly forgot the storyline, or even what world she was reincarnated in. She even found love. She was happy, until the demon king killed him, she sought revenge, as memories rushed back in that moment seeing him on the ground dying. (Y/N) loved to fight, she was sadistic yet kind, what an odd combination. Along with the voice in her head, will she finally find a fun exciting new life? *there is no main love interest! Ashes of the Past - Story Description In a city drowning in corruption, two sisters rise from the shadows, bound by blood and vengeance. Ezra Valtore is a warrior forged in pain. The elder twin, she has turned herself into a ruthless hunter, eliminating those responsible for her family's destruction. Her fists speak where words fail, and her blade delivers the justice the law never could. Serra Valtore is the ghost in the machine. A hacking genius, she operates from the darkness, feeding Ezra everything she needs-security codes, enemy locations, and clean escape routes. She does not fight with fists, but with data, weaving digital chaos to ensure their enemies fall. Years ago, the Valtore twins had everything-a loving home, a bright future. Until one night changed everything. Their parents, innocent of any crime except standing in the mafia's way, were executed in cold blood. The sisters, barely teenagers, were left broken, forced to watch as the world moved on without justice. But grief did not break them. It rebuilt them. Now, they live for one purpose-to hunt down the mafia responsible and erase them, one by one. Ezra delivers death with precision, while Serra ensures their tracks remain invisible. Each kill brings them closer to the ultimate target-the elusive mafia lord who orchestrated their parents' murder. But the road to vengeance is never simple. Their actions have not gone unnoticed, and someone is watching them closely. Xavvar Blaze, a sharp-witted detective, has begun piecing together the pattern behind the string of mafia deaths. He is determined to uncover the force behind the killings, unaware that the truth will entangle him in a web of deception, fury, and an unexpected connection to the woman he is hunting. The game has begun. The hunt is on. And for Ezra and Serra Valtore, there is no turning back.

This book is part of a series. If you have not read the other books, then you won't understand what's going on here at ALL. Please go read 'Not Everyone is a Steal-Type' then 'Take an Extra Step, GOH the Extra Mile (The Prologue)' Before continuing. Both can be found on this account. (There's also a reading list dedicated to this series.) __________ Ash failed to save the world alongside Goh and even lost his existence in the process... OR SO HE THOUGHT! Thanks to knowledge from a girl who calls herself Yuki Kazeko, he can prepare for the final encounter with the Evil Professor Ceries in the future. (Alongside her, of course! They're both fighting for their own respective worlds.) You would think this would be an easy task for one who came from the world that CREATED Pokemon and loves them with all her heart, right? Sorry to say, but a change in reality isn't as easy as 1, 2, 3. Yuki is afraid of what Pokémon are capable of. From being able to cause fires just by breathing or cause someone to become poisoned just by being touched... that isn't something she's used to. That, alongside her own difficult life challenges she faced just adds on to her fears. With one of the most important pieces to saving the world not being anywhere close to emotionally functioning in the amazing world of Pokémon, a Personal Trial and a Special Grand Trial has been created to help her overcome those fears once and for all! Alongside the world's Chosen One: Ash Ketchum, and the many People and Pokémon who remember the events before the world was cut from the main timeline, Yuki takes on the challenge! It's time to take a step forward into a world filled with many similarities and differences: The World of Pokémon! ___ Book Cover Updated: 3/4/2023 (Mostly to express that it's no longer a betrayal series + cleaner/simpler design)
