Grace and Pilar have been best friends since they came out of the womb...practically. They know each other better then the back of their hands. It's always been Pilar and Grace and would be weird to see one without the other, even the local pizza delivery man thinks so too! But, when Grace branches out and becomes the new and improved Grace where everybody wants to be her friend, Pilar feels like she is losing her best friend. Always being the shyest and the less outspoken of the two she backs away quietly and leaves her.
Pilar Van Housen is a normal girl-or so she thinks (I mean if you exclude her obsession with unicorns and the flowers and bows in her hair that always seem present, she is pretty normal) and her general aim for the upcoming senior year is to keep her head down yet somehow manage to convince herself that she can live without Grace, and better yet to get Theo to love her back.
