"You and me Pilar, we don't need no bad boy to save us. We need each other." "Gracie, I dunno... Promise?" "Of course I promise, you vegetable!" ➳♡✿ ☼☽➳♡✿ ☼☽➳♡✿ ☼☽➳♡✿ ☼☽➳♡✿ ☼☽➳♡✿ ☼☽➳♡✿ ☼☽➳♡✿ ☼☽➳♡✿ ☼☽ Grace and Pilar have been best friends since they came out of the womb...practically. They know each other better then the back of their hands. It's always been Pilar and Grace and would be weird to see one without the other, even the local pizza delivery man thinks so too! But, when Grace branches out and becomes the new and improved Grace where everybody wants to be her friend, Pilar feels like she is losing her best friend. Always being the shyest and the less outspoken of the two she backs away quietly and leaves her. Pilar Van Housen is a normal girl-or so she thinks (I mean if you exclude her obsession with unicorns and the flowers and bows in her hair that always seem present, she is pretty normal) and her general aim for the upcoming senior year is to keep her head down yet somehow manage to convince herself that she can live without Grace, and better yet to get Theo to love her back. What she isn't prepared for is for her rival, Gabriel to return to town and ruin the life she's always been seemingly content to live. Sky-scraper height, gorgeous as all hell and a bad boy with silver eyes and the perfect edge of adorability, River Cross. Who is he? Well the hot guy of course. Get ready for breaking rules, gangs, death, life, road trips, almost-kisses, near-death-experiences, street racing, a voice recorder, a vinyl record, a bucket list, a five-year-feud, PIZZA, two Ben and Jerry addicts as authors and of course an ending you never expected. Put it all in a Nutri-Bullet blender and you get... I dunno to be honest. But I can tell you it's not a super-healthy smoothie!

Lauren Jules, her twin sister Miranda, and their best friend Jake all grew up together in their own little world. Just three kids having the time of their lives. And then came the summer that changed everything. It was the summer Lauren fell in love with her best friend. It was the summer her family broke apart and she grew up. It was the summer Jake left. Now five years later, Jake is moving back and Lauren is determined to keep her guard up against the boy who stole her heart years ago. But Lauren's not the only one with something to hide, Jake seems to be fighting some demons of his own. His past has changed him from the happy-go-lucky kid he was, to a reckless guy with a smirk for a smile. And he's driving Lauren insane. ****** Excerpt from That Summer "Well I'm surprised," he drawled huskily, playing with a strand of my hair. "You acted like a natural last night." Oh. My. God. What did that even mean? He chuckled at my deer-in-headlights expression. There was no way I would not remember losing my virginity to Jake. Hell, I'd memorize every second of it. "What do you mean?" I asked slowly, my stomach doing somersaults. Please tell me I'm jumping to the wrong conclusion. Pretty please. "Well," he started, a gleam in his eyes. "First, you grabbed the blanket and ripped it right off of me." I blinked at him, a horrified expression on my face. I slapped his hand away from my hair and turned around. Yup, there it was. Lying on the floor, along with my dignity. He continued solemnly. "And then, you climbed up on top of me." Could you die from your face overheating? I waited for my embarrassment to be complete as he tapped his chin, thoughtfully. "Yeah, that's about it." That's it? THAT'S IT? So I hadn't completely thrown myself at him. Just a tad. And the prize for the unluckiest luckiest horndog of the year goes to Lauren Can't Keep Her Hands To Herself Jules. I grabbed the pillow and smacked him over the head with it. Hard.
