They could have killed the humans but the humans won from a great alliance between kingdoms, and the consequences were great.
It had been a decade since the war and the Shifters had retreated on an island. After the war, the humans let the Shifters live on an island but every year a few Shifters were taken from the island to the unknown. Alex was one of them. Where will she go? What will happen to her?
