Paris Is Indeed Splendid, Part One *raw*

The Nazis have won World War Two and dominated all of West and Central Europe... but that's history, and military police officer Dieter Hermann would rather focus on readying officers to replace soldiers in the African Extermination Campaign than think about his country's questionable history, or his arranged marriage to the Fuhrer's daughter. Crossdressing priest Angela Romano can't think of anything but, living in constant fear of the Germans occupying the small Italian town she lives in--a fear that her twin brother Angelo encourages by all means necessary. In Eastern Europe, Melchioras Vidoskas couldn't care less about the Nazis as he prepares to be indentured to a Russian aristocrat to avoid being sent to the gulags with the rest of his family, and said aristocrat--Vladeslav Sokolov--has a few skeletons in his own closet. Meanwhile in France, Jean Francis Lafayette struggles to find an assistant to help him run his cafe; English refugee Alicen White makes the dangerous journey across the English Channel seeking safety and reinforcements; and James Cook gets off the boat from America to study French cuisine without a penny to his name.
