The Takeover didn't take lives, it took souls. It sent our dimension spiralling off its axis, entering an inexplicable, unfathomable state of purgatory, and it became... A world between worlds. Our doppelgangers from the next dimension came, wielding elements of every kind--Earth, Water, Fire and Air, and with their arrival came the necessary eradication of all who lived in this dimension. Coexisting was out of the question, and it was either death for them or the takeover of our very life force through a morbid process called 'The Takeover'. But this new evil was not without its counterpoise, and a new breed of 'Wielders' were born--people who had rejected 'The Takeover', people like me. And together with my little ragtag band of misfits, a scintilla of hope was once again rekindled, and it was indubitable that this, that we, were humanity's last line of defence, and we weren't going down without a fight. A blank doll with acting and action running in her veins, Freia woke up in a hospital with no memory of what brought her there. Sure, the doctors said a car crash delivered her there, but it didn't feel like it. They said her family's dead but how come Freia didn't feel like that was true? Her very first visitors were her adoptive parents, Fabio and Darlene Hunter. She had four friends that stuck with her ever since she could remember, literally. That is until one who was dear to her was killed, in front of her. Of course, she was devastated. Why would that be a question? One day, Fabio decided to put her into his school filled with students that he specifically chose to be in. When she was finally forced to be in it, she found out things she thought that only existed in books. Powers unknown to the modern world, sheltered children who only knows the world through TV and non-interactive computers. All of the information comes in that school, but never comes out. I gotta say, why would you believe something that was written and altered by humans from outside? Would you even put your trust on the person who doesn't let you out unless he wants you to? Read on as we see Freia and her friends struggle to find their places in the world they thought they knew of. [COMPLETED] [UNEDITED]
