Alison McCarthy wants to go through her high school years without drama. She plans on getting perfect grades so she can apply to a great college to fulfill her dream of becoming a writer so she can take care of her sister. She can't deal with having any sort of relationships aside from her younger sister Jade McCarthy because then other people would know her secret. All of Alison's plans are ruined, however, when Ryan Walker walks into her life.

Alison was minding her own business studying in the local cafe, Bits and Pieces, when suddenly she's covered in coffee.

All she wanted to do was calm herself down for a while but that didn't happen because of a pretty boy who goes to her school.

How will this turn of events affect this young writer?
