The dark swirls of cigarette smoke engulfed the dull light room and stung at the young boys eyes. He had crouched in the corner for a long time, lightly grazing his fingers above his recently inflicted scratches. The older man sat casually smoking in the worn out arm chair,he turned his neck and twisted his face towards the frightened boy. "Don't you ever protest against me again, you rely on me, understand?" The boy nodded a small nod and look down. The older man disappeared into the gray darkness, leaving the boy to his thoughts. He stared blankly at the blood stained wall and collapsed into utter oblivion.

Standing back up she backed up to her car, climbed in and drove away at speed, not caring about getting him help...feet ran towards the young man, and voices where heard talking to the emergency services.
