Enter the loud and fun-loving Jack Barakat, who's parents have always known that he wasn't really interested in girls. However, he's never fully understood himself. But then he meets Alex Gaskarth, and his world shifts from confused to, well, not confused.
But when Alex's sister finds him and Jack in Alex's room, she rats him out. His parents are furious, and send him to live with his uncle-- who thinks he can beat it out of Alex.
