Densetsu: The world which exists quietly beside ours, separated by a mystical border. A utopia where humans and other beings- such as fairies, monsters, and even gods live peacefully together. Up in the high mountains, there lives a shrine maiden who guards the border of Densetsu, and the shrine becomes filled with residents from all over Densetsu. The shrine maiden is known as the "Shrine Maiden of the Gods", feared by many monsters but beloved by the humans. 

Kotaro Nishiki, a senior of Islander High School, discovers a fork in the road and ends up in Densetsu. In this world, he meets many friends who aren't human and gets himself involved with the many problems in Densetsu. The first incident he must solve is the infamous Infinite Loop incident. His journey is only just starting, this is just the beginning of his journey. Throughout his journey, he learns more about Densetsu and comes across numerous of mythological creatures, coming from varies of regions. What awaits in his journey, and how will he stop this Infinite Loop? The path he walks will lead him to the missing answers that lie beyond this journey...
