The Land of the Broken Hearted

Lyla Greene needed an escape at the age of 13 when she realized just how little she meant to everyone. She knew that her best friend Trevor loved her like a sister but she still felt not good enough for him. Her dad left when she was 13 and her mom became an alcoholic. She's 18 now but still can't escape. Until one day. She's had enough. Lyla comes home from school to find her mom in her room tearing everything up and when her mom sees Lyla, she hits her. The next day Lyla (home by herself) takes a knife with her into the woods. Instead of going to Heaven or Hell she finds herself somewhere she's never even heard of. She has to decide if she wants to stay in this new place or go back to her life before.
