Yllvienna Cleotheria Empress Sy, an indomitably well-sought sociopolitical pioneer, leading journalist, and medical student - has long been dreaming to live an opposite life of her own amid other people who wield tantamount expectation about the ideal contributions that she can give to them. The opulent hallmark of her family bloodline resonated an inconquerable challenge to her reputation, influence, and dignity as a woman whose voice was bound to be left unheard not unless everyone pays their value of good attention.

Nevertheless, she never wanted to deal with the spotlight as her comforting leisure only lies at writing blog entries and stories of collective memories from mid-day until night. For Vien, she once believed that writing is entirely similar as breathing only to sooner realize the reeks of becoming beyond breatheless - when she unexpectedly encountered the sailing anchors of love during the pandemic crisis. A love from home? Not too bad. Exciting, she may invoke it for real.

An epistolary of love from home during Covid-19 quarantine timespan. Is there any possibility of romance to exist on a virtual setting?

"Crisanta, hey," she turned to find the star volleyball player of Ardent Prep International, Tristan Carlos, with all his dimples and blue-eyed smiles. The older, Grade Twelve student said with a soft voice, "You didn't answer me yesterday." "What do you want?" She asked, sighing loudly as her shoulders slumped. Tired with everything. But she can't rest, not when she has a Student Council to run, a cheering squad to captain, and a play to direct. "I - I had something," he started, stammering a bit. Clearing his throat, Crisanta's boyfriend of two years continued, "I wanted to speak with you - it's about something important." She stayed quiet. "I, um," releasing a heavy breath, Tristan blurted, "I want to break up." "What?" ---------‐---------------------‐---------------------‐----------------- This year, 2021, was supposed to be Crisanta Espinosa's year. Until it wasn't. Until he left. Until everyone started to have problems with her. Until the entire school decided she was the villain. Set in a fictional Manila, where the coronavirus pandemic never happened, in the affluent societies of the teens and kids who studied in Ardent Prep International School, follow Crisanta Espinosa as she juggles her duties as Student Council President, Head Cheerleader, and Creative Director of her school theater. All the while dealing with the aftermath of her own heartbreak. This story is about the small steps of hurts, healing, and everything in between.

[ 2019 ONC ambassador's pick and ONC shortlister ] The three degrees of Danger are as follows: Denial. You pretend that it's not there and you lie to yourself that it'll pass. It won't. The second stage is evolution. You tell yourself that the worst is over but you're gradually changing inside, slowly adapting to the new environment. The final degree of Danger is succumbing to temptation. You give up listening to your fading instincts, give in to the voices in your head and you give it your all. Because the world is changing and if you don't change with it, you're dead by daylight. *** Danger is a virus that is spreading through everybody's Software. It turns you insane, kills your moral compass. No one knows where it came from or how to stop it but one thing is clear- nothing will ever be the same. In a world where it's kill or be killed, you can't just stay on your toes and pray that you will survive. Murder is crucial if you want to live. These are the rules that Vic lives by as she races up the social ladder, ready to clinch the only thing that will vindicate her- the position of an Elite Killer, a title only given to the best serial killers. It is only when she meets a mysterious boy who refuses to play by the rules of society even when it means inevident death, does she start to challenge the system. In a world where mercy does not exist, Vic has to stop the deadly massacres without getting assasinated before the basic laws of a functioning civilisation starts to break down.
