I find myself lost temporarily. Where am I? Who are you? Why don't I know you? And then I just snap back to myself. I remember all the things that happen when I lose my memory though. Sometimes I lose it for a minute some an hour and then some a few days. I don't know how my parents cope with this or my best friend Steven but I would hate hanging around myself. The sad part about my life is I can never be on my own. I need someone by my side most of the time to monitor me like a child. I want to be free I want to have a normal life I want to be independent. I want to achieve my dreams. But this is who I am.

"Catch me if you can" Matilda Colombo had been running her entire life, until it all came to a crashing ending. Being caught was not her thing, and everyone knew it, or so they thought that they did. I was never meant to leave that room. I had spent my whole life in there, imagining what it was like on the outside. I looked forward to the day when I would finally be allowed to leave. But that day was never supposed to come. Until James decided to keep his promise. He had always been there, on the other side of the glass. Waiting. The experiment wasn't over. I was 13 when I started drinking alcohol for fun. 14 the first time I took ecstasy at a college party I snuck into, the same age I lost my virginity. This was the first time I went to a mental institution because it's also the year I first tried to kill myself. 15 the first time I smoked meth, took a bump of cocaine, shot myself up with heroine. This was the first time I got sent to rehab, it didn't work and I came out worse. I was 16 when I tried to commit three times in the same year, the last time I got my heart to stop for 30 seconds. That year was also the first time I snorted Hydrocodone, getting me started in opiates, I experimented with Xanax and liked it. And I was a month from 17 when I got sober. - "Fuck you." I snap. I frowned, thrown off "Do i...remember?" "Do you remember..." she starts but her voice falters. She glances down at the sand, biting her lip debating whether to even continue.
