I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. It hurt to do anything right now. But I still screamed under the cold water and pushed the hands away as hard as I could. It didn't have much effect. It was so cold, I could feel the bits of snow covering my body, as I laid captive in the cold. Sheet of soft, white blankets camouflaged the bushes and trees in the wonderland. The animals and insects were covered in the ice that kept them frozen in place, like puppets on a shelf. There were no flowing stream of water; they were frozen into a misty blue, icy surface. I had no memory of how I got here; I was with my mom and dad eating dinner. On a Friday, we were talking about our day and how we should plan a family vacation. That was it and now I'm in the forest that seems to be frozen in time. I pulled my legs into my chest and dug myself deeper into the winter snow of the ground. Thinking that if I were to burrow, maybe. Just maybe I could keep the heat from leaving my body. I pulled over my hoodie and shrunk my face into the scarf that was covering my mouth. My breathing was deep and long drawn, trying drastically to find warmth; white air came from me to the air of the cold. As the fearful winds pounded me, deeper into the hole and shifted away pieces of the snow that was around me. Slowly, my mind started to drift off. This wasn't good; I tried to keep my eyes from closing into asleep that would have been endless. But there was no use my weak, shivering body fell asleep, before I could even fight. And dreamed. Dreams are something you are battling that your mind plays on you to figure it out. Like a game that ends the way you make it. When you lose you can only blame yourself, and cry for something only you know because it's your mind. Your dream. Your... "Do you want to live". A voice swayed into my dream. "Or do you want me to leave you here". I knew I was dreaming, but am I dreaming in a dream. Is that even possible? Maybe it's just a voice made by my subconscious giving me someone to talk to. "This is a nightmare, it's only a nightmare..." I say to myself as I try to catch my breath while leaning against a tall pine tree. Only for a moment do I stay in that position until I hear a twig snap. I quickly leap away from the tree and run as fast as I can. "Wake up (Y/N)! just wake up!!!" I think to myself. "You are awake my dear..." I hear that voice. That damn voice. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" I scream. I continue to run past trees and hopping over large rocks. The mist in the air begins to get thicker as I continue this race. "Why me? out of all the people this had to happen to me!" my brain races with thoughts until my foot gets caught by a tree root sticking out of the ground. I fall hitting my head on a rock. My vision is blurry and I can feel a warm liquid begin to stream down my face. "My dear (Y/N), look what you have done to yourself. You shouldn't have tried to run away." the voice goes through my head again. I look around and see nothing but trees. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" My voice begins to grow sore from the constant running and yelling. The sound of leaves crunching comes from behind me and I whip my head around until my eyes are met with him. "My dear (Y/N), you've made quite the mess of yourself. You know you are not aloud to leave......now you'll have to be punished." The figure says without any facial expression or motion. The figure begins to walk forward towards me. I try to back away until my vision becomes black and all I can hear is static.
