All his life, Spock had been mocked by other Vulcan children. He always had thus voice in his his head every time he said he was Vulcan. The voice would mock him just like the children and people. 'You are Vulcan, but not Vulcan enough.'

Spock always wondered if humans thought the same way. That was actually a part of his reasoning to go to StarFleet and not just the Vulcan Science Academy. 

Most humans found his Vulcan side to be a bit annoying, except one human women. Nyota Uhura.
