Reasons why books can ruin your life-
1) They totally sugar coat everything.
2) They make you believe anything is possible
Like, don't you ever get sick of reading about the same old clichés again and again, about a high school with a predictable hierarchy, a bunch of stereotypes and the girl who always somehow randomly manages to end up with either:
a) The most popular guy (Usually a quarterback)
Or
b) The bad boy who cares about no one but her all of a sudden
Yeah, well trust me, I didn't. In fact, I lived for clichés. The bitchy cheers, the six packs and the competitive football games totally appealed to me. Well, that was of course until my best friend challenged me into trying to prove to him that I could to make my life into one. He told me to become 'That' girl- you know, the main character who miraculously gains popularity and hot boy and a high school life she apparently never dreamt off. The one who gets the amazing happily ever after. Unfortunately, it turned out that it wasn't going to be as easy as teen authors made it sound, and the result, well, it was defintely nto what I expected because:
1) I 'm pretty invisible
And
2) This is real life... and not some stupid cliché
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!!!!!! So, basically I am a sucker for clichés. I absolutely LOVE them. However, I do realise they are a bit farfetched and aware of the fact that some people can't stand them. Well, that's when I got somewhat of a twisted idea, inspired by one of my friends to write a story mixed with every possible Cliché I could think off, but not actually turn the book into one in the process. In this book, I cannot guarantee that the girl gets with the guy and there is a happily ever after- but I can guarantee that you can have a hell of a laugh at the ridiculous actions of my main character Tiana Evans as she tackles a more realistic version of High school, trying to live a cliché.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
