15 year old Emily Green's parents died a couple months ago without explanation. Emily had to leave her beautiful house because her parents weren't around.
She was forced to live with her only relative, her not so kind Uncle John, who lives in a trailer and travels the U.S.
When they end up staying in Sunset Valley for 3 months, Emily is suspicious of her uncle's weird behavior. She also starts to see signs of her mother's spirit, and discovers the secrets of her parents mysterious death.
She and her friends Matthew and Jamie find out magical secrets, even about themselves
