"Cami! Get up!" Mom yelled at me, it was 5:00am and I was late for school.
"Okay okay! Just calm down mom!" I yelled back, i'm probably going to get grounded for that.
It was 2018 and the 5th of June. Today is when they announce the fate of our state, New York, since the beginning of the 2017 war in New York City. They tell us if we will recover from the war or not. If we do not recover from the damage, the chance pf people dying will increase.
The last thing we need is more people dying. 2020 is the year when it all goes down... Which means the chances of a virus will increase. If the virus actually happens... Well... We all die. But, I don't believe one bit of the governments lies. Even if the others believe it as the truth.

"City X: The Society Where Everything Is Just Perfect!" Yeah, right. I see that slogan everywhere, no matter where I look. It's all a lie, an illusion. Everyone believes that it's perfect, but they don't know the workings of the inside. I was told by someone I met years ago what really goes on inside the government building, and since have been moved to the poorest part of the "perfect" city. With every passing day, I feel my reality slipping away, fading into darkness and despair, no hope in me ever being normal ever again. I remember the day this all started like it was yesterday. INCAPABLE - BOOK I: THE FALLEN
ONCE my mom told me that we, as humans, only fear what we do not know and that that is the sole reason for violence. We do not know what is to come of something, so in retaliation we immediately fight it off before we can ever find out; before we can ever see if there is any beauty in it. My mom is gone now. Along with any sanity we as a people have left. The year is 2193, and the world is at war. We, humans, are at war with each other only because of what we are and what we can do. We fear what we do not know, thus all we know is ignorance. The government, our democracy, our people and our world have fallen. Nothing good ever comes from being afraid of the abnormalities of others, especially when those abnormalities are amazing. The truth is, none of us are normal. Everyone's definition of normality is different, making it humanly impossible for anyone to ever accomplish the craved label of "normal". Then again, everything we have grown capable of was once described as humanly impossible. By those standards none of us are human. Not even me. A U T H O R ' S N O T E : This book is completed and there will be a second book coming out sometime next year, most likely in the summer. Please excuse any grammar issues or misspellings I have. I'm just lying here in stillness and darkness wondering why. Why did this have to happen to my mom? We have nothing we can't even afford a house. Here I am a 14 year old boy that lives in a shelter home. Mom says one day we'll get out. But I've lost all hope. And I know my mom has no hope either. If she did I wouldn't have to hear her cry herself to sleep at night. I hate seeing her in so much pain. I wish, I could get a job. Maybe since I'm younger and a boy they'll hire me. Who am I kidding? My mom's in her 30's she's not old either. Sometimes the idiots that run this place kick my mom out for the night because she's making too much noise after hours. My mom was crying; is that too hard to understand? I hate this place. Well, tomorrow's our first day apart since summer started. They're forcing me to go to high school. I'm okay with school but I don't want to leave my mom alone in this world. Well, I guess there's a better chance of me getting a job if I'm in high school. You know there's one thing I remember my mom telling me when I was young. "Never frown; you never know who's falling in love with your smile." Words to live by. The year is 2018 and planet Earth has given man kind everything that it has to offer, to the point that the planet is dying away. Most of the earth is in ruin which made all the leaders from all the nations meet together on a secret island for two weeks to come up and form a plan for man kind's survival, and so the United Space Administration or USA for short was form. For years the federal governments from all the nations on earth has been secretly investing and contributing with each other on space and military developments without the population of their countrymen knowing about what they ( the government ) was doing, and now the secrets might pay off now that every country on earth has no choice but to come together as one people. The USA ( not the United States ) has built four star ships in the past ten years at Space Station United in space a few hundred miles behind Space Station Freedom . Through the years moon bases have also been built on the moon, and now paper and coin currencies are completely gone. Everyone on Earth has one card with a chip in it that has everything about you on it and the new currency for everyone is credit and bits.Complete

My name is Cassy woods I am 16, I have always been the quiet one, avoiding the spotlight, trying my best to stay out of trouble. Now in a world devastated by death and disease thats the best thing to do. ~~~~~~~~~~ Two years ago a disease broke out, killing people.. however it didn't stop there it brought the dead back..... But they weren't the same, they killed and ate anything that moved. The government decided to bomb the cities most infected to slow the spread, but that just made things so much worse. That's not what I fear though, what I fear most is the people who are left. The people we were are gone, and people will do anything it takes to survive.. if there is one thing I would tell the old me it's fight the dead... but fear the living. 100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden.
