Flamepaw is barely an apprentice when Frogstar dies, and Snakestar takes over. The new leader rids the clan of elders, disabled cats, medicine cats, and half-clans. He is barely an apprentice when he discovers his soul is that of a deceased MoonClan warrior,Bouncewing. When Coyoteflight tells Flamepaw about his heritage, Flamepaw knows he is in grave danger. Soon Snakestar finds out. Coyoteflight is able to spare his son's life, but not his own. Snakestar then decides to ruin Flamepaw's life. After Snakestar refuses to make him a warrior, Flamepaw changes his name to Flamefoot and plans to over throw Snakestar.
