He's homeschooled as well, which means he only ever leaves to get groceries. For how little he leaves the house, and how closed off he is, it's quite a wonder how he met Frank. Frank is an extrovert and he kind of lacks boundaries when it comes to making friends. He's curious and speaks his mind constantly, which sometimes gets him into trouble. Frank's cousin Richard offers him a job in the summer at the restaurant he owns. But it's not a restaurant. Richard doesn't even own a restaurant, he's a drug dealer, and he has Frank do the dirty work. When Frank is making a round he meets someone in particular. The boy is really cute, he likes all the music Frank likes, and Frank really thinks he likes him. His name is Gerard. Gerard always sneaks out, to drink, do drugs, smoke. His parents try to talk to him, but it never gets through. After a failed suicide attempt they just give up. They give Gerard to one of his moms close colleagues. Mrs. Linda Iero and her family.
